Which points on a bicycle spoke is the length measured from and to?
Please could you tell me if a spoke of length eg.288mm is measured from the elbow to the end of the spoke or the end of the smooth part (top of the thread).

does the very end of the threads mean where the threads meet the rest of the spoke or where the threads meet 'air'! sorry if i'm being slow but i really want to get this right
Spoke length is measured from the inside of the elbow to the very end of the threads.
