I need help with my hair! I'm trying to grow it out.?
I'm growing out my hair and it's all one length. It's about 2 inches below my shoulders, and i just got all my dead ends cut off yesterday to start out new. I use nexus shampoo and conditioner, and chi iron guard and silk infusion for when i straighten my hair to protect it. My hair is naturally curly. The lady at the salon said i should come for a trim every 2-3 months if im trying to grow out my hair, but my hair grows so slow and she would just cut off the part i was growing. If I don't go for a trim every 3 months will my hair just get worse? HELP PLEASE!
I have EXACTLY the same problem, except my hair is even shorter! And really really curly:P
My hairdresser told me the opposite - don't go to the hairdresser for a while and allow your hair to grow out.
Another thing EVERYONE has been telling me - DON'T STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR!:P
It practically kills the hair, causes split ends, meaning you need to cut it, and makes it dry, and just slows down the process.
Over the summer I didn't straighten my hair a lot, and it grew at least an inch or so.
Just try it out - no straighteners, when you dry it with a dryer, use a TON of heat defense or just leave it to dry naturally, and don't go to the hairdresser.
