Enhancing Feng Shui, how & where should I place my wicker basket?
I try to observe Feng Shui in my house.
I have a round wicker basket that I hear is supposed to "enhance" the Chi into / around places indoors.
How / where am I to place this basket and what "should" I put in there (food, other items) to enhance the Chi?
i think you got the wrong idea about fengshui. you dont observe it. your house either has good fengshui or it has bad fengshui.
i dont like to sound rude. but i like to let people know what fengshui is really about. forget about books or websites that tell you what it is about, because chances are these sell you something.
fengshui is a group of methods, which are used to analyze space in your house. these methods tell you where the good energy (or bad energy) is, and what is its characteristics - so you can know how to use the space.
basically, you use the good energy more for living, while leaving the space with bad energy alone or as rooms that are less used like storage and the bathroom. when you use a space, you tend to "activate" the energy - good or bad, and make the characteristics of the energy happen in your life. so when you activate good energy, good things happen.
so, fengshui is like the arrangement of rooms, rather than the furnitures inside the house.
different rooms play a different roles in your life in fengshui. like the kitchen and stove attracts money into your life. while the bedroom is for health. using the fengshui methods, you need to put the kitchen in an area with good energy combination, then position the stove towards your favorable direction, so that it will attract money for you. then with the bedroom, it should be placed in an area with good energy combination, but with a current mountain star (flying stars method) - this will make you healthier. because the health luck is current as opposed to being expired. this is what fengshui is about. and is more powerful than placing things around the house.
chi is really just the energy that - it does not really flow inside the house literally... but you need to know what flying stars method is about to know how chi flows. and how the energy combines, interact and reacts and form new energy combinations.
